Workshop

workshop

Since 1993 a variety of infrastructure and capital equipment obtained through grants has allowed an expansion of our restoration efforts. It has also enabled us to minimise the expenses associated with contract employment, have flexibility and control over projects, maintain projects beyond the terms of grant funding and provide additional training and skills development for volunteers. Today, most of our projects require only consumables such as plants, tree guards/stakes or herbicide.

The Gordon Reid Foundation funded the herbicide storage shed, and workshop that houses a 4WD ute equipped with hoist and 600lt pump-operated water tank. Over the years, the Foundation, City of Cockburn, Mission Australia. Landcare Australia and. the Minister of the Environment funded a variety of valuable equipment including trailer, ride-on mower, heavy-duty mower, brushcutter, chainsaw, motorised auger, herbicide sprayers, portable pump and hosing, wheelbarrows, seed sieves, gumboots/waders, protective equipment and an assortment of tools.
