Work Experience
The Centre is a suitable venue for TAFE/university students and others to gain work experience or fulfill credits towards their studies. The Centre is involved with weekly on-ground action to restore wetland/bushland areas along with the delivery of education programs. Students will have the opportunity to work alongside staff and community volunteers, and gain an insight into project management. Students wishing to pursue specific areas of interest are welcome to discuss their ideas with the Wetlands Officer.
Students may attend throughout the year but are particularly encouraged to attend during their summer vacation break. This is a particularly busy period and offers the greatest variety of experiences including seed collection, nursery practices, summer plantings, weed control, watering, conference organisation and our summer holiday program.
